Hello world! I'm very excited to announce the launch of iyetra.com, which will serve as an aggregate portal for all information relating to the Iyetra series. For a quick overview of Iyetra, think of it as an episodic book series. Where full novels run anywhere from four to six hundred pages in length, each book in the series will be about 1/4 that length, covering a particular event or plot-point in a smaller space of time. Each book will be self-contained from others, although they all take place within the same universe, with the same overall conflicts and same factions. Because of the much smaller length, the release cycle for each book will be significantly accelerated; roughly, you can expect a new book every two to three months, compared to waiting for years for some authors to release a sequel to your favourite series.
Each book will be available to read on iyetra.com, but if you don't want to sit in front of your computer screen ebook versions will be made available to numerous large storefronts online; more information about these releases will be made available later on, but you can expect to be able to purchase formatted versions with full-colour covers and additional artwork on any popular e-reader device like the Kindle or iPad.
End pricing hasn't been finalised yet, but each e-book version will be about USD$5.00. The website version will always remain free, but will be released after the digital versions hit the stores. The digital versions will also have a lot more visual polish, so if you're partial to eye-candy those are the versions to pick up!
Book 01 : Sleeping God is on track for an August 2010 release. More information will be posted here when it's released. I am extremely excited about this series and I hope that you will enjoy reading it as much as I have enjoyed working on it.
